I called Coleman customer service, and they sent me a replacement generator assembly for free. It took me 15 min. To install, but the new one works fine so far. **Q: can you use indoors?** A: The only time I would use it indoors (and have) is when the gas company had to do maintenance in my alley way. I had no gas, and have a gas stove top anyway. I turned on my hood vent and used it like I would my normal gas stove. If you don't have proper ventilation, I would recommend against using it indoors like most of these folks, but with proper ventilation, just like any gas stove, you should be totally fine. I know I'm years later, but people still look at this question so that's why I'm answering. **Q: is there a noticeable difference in heat output between coleman fuel and gasoline?** A: Coleman fuel, or really any brand “white gas” will have a shelf life of several years. It will not get gummed up in the stove or lantern like unleaded gasoline with ethanol in it, can.
