I have two of these now and think they're great! I've been using the Joola Overdrive, Strada, and Edge paddles for the past three years and in my opinion the Edge is the best overall. The other paddles are good too, but loose their edge over time (pun intended). The rubber on the Edge holds up and remains grippy while the others get slicker and require more maintenance. The Overdrives is slightly larger and heavier and has a bit more speed, but the Edge is my preferred and is a fine paddle for the intermediate player. With the carbon fiber layers the paddle is lively and has good offensive play. With it I am able to keep up with players using many other name brand and custom paddles. The one weakness I've encountered is that over time the rubber, or I should say the foam, detaches from the wood around the perimeter. It seems to be a common problem with all of the Joola paddles I've used. Some of it is the fault of the players making contact with the table. When the separation occurs I reattach it using a very thin layer of E6000 adhesive, applied with a toothpick to both the wood and foam. After gluing I use a spring clamp to hold it overnight.
