These are not surface cracks; the acrylic is cracked all the way through. Which leads me to think this happened during manufacture when the acrylic was forced too hard. But who knows, could be the packing as although there was plenty of scrunched up paper in the box, the item had been placed on top of the paper!UPDATE 17July 2020Excellent response from the seller who immediately sent out a replacement, which arrived in perfect condition today.
