I'm a guy with long straight hair that goes past my shoulders, and the soft silicone brushes do not work in the shower for my hair.After several trials and many searches, this was the one that worked the best. Unlike the soft silicone ones (which there is no shortage of online) these bristles are stiff (but the tips are rounded so it massages your scalp at the same time) and can actually penetrate through your wet and shampooed hair to clean your scalp. It's lightweight and easy to clean. I'm contemplating purchasing a backup one since it was so hard to find.
