I couldn't feel them as I was walking and are silent! Some are like sand paper but these are more like tire rubber so you don't hear that irritating sound when you walk on the concrete of something scraping. Adhesion is okay, not sure if it'll last since I just purchased them and have only gone a few places. Attached pics of them on the bottom of my shoe.
