Most cars today don't even have a lighter, the port for one is now for charging cell phones and the wiring for it is not heavy enough to use a lighter. If there is an ash tray, it's usually too small and in an awkward position. This is the only one I could find that hangs off the door. It works well, as described. Smokes go out almost instantly and there will be no smoke rising from it. Inexpensive, convenient, and works as advertised.
