I used them to top some cake pops which already have a crisp chocolate shell coating and the sprinkle texture was still noticable and pleasant. They stuck well to the wet chocolate drizzle I used. They did not add any bad taste. The size of the sprinkles is more like course sugar than little glittery granules, as seen in photos. My photos are not the best lighting but they did add some sparkle in person. These are easy to use because you can take the shaker off and just pour some into a shallow dish or plate to grab with your fingers to sprinkle in a more controlled way.
