He's five and uses them every day. They are smaller than I imagined but work very well. They have multiple channels and can work with other walkie talkies. There is a flashlight and ringer that are nice features. The talking is crystal clear. The only downaide is the 4 triple a batteries that each one takes. Otherwise these have made my son a very happy boy!
