I had used a drum sander with 36 grit paper and it worked great. Once I returned the sander I bought this Mercer Industries 36D Grit sandpaper to use on getting all the edges and hard to reach places sanded down to bare wood.It’s safe to say I’m glad it’s a pack of 50 as it doesn’t last very long. The sand paper is being used on a hand sander. Each piece last approx 5-7 minutes before having to get a new one due to significant deterioration in its sanding property. The second picture is of all the little pieces of abrasive that come off and literally go everywhere. I definitely should have stuck with 3M but since they didn’t have this particular grit paper in a large pack I opted for this. The sandpaper works, just plan on using a ridiculous amount to get the job done. ### ⭐⭐ Not Long-Lasting *by B***Y on August 26, 2019* I have a 700 square foot cedar deck that needs major sanding and staining work every other year, so I go through a lot of sandpaper, mostly using a palm sander. This is a decent product, but I won't buy it again. I like that it comes in a D weight, but a 1/4 sheet of this product in my palm sander lasts less than half as long as a 1/4 sheet of the 3M paper that I also have.
