**Q: What is the wattage?**
A: i thnk that Phillips states it is 1400W but i measured with 2 different “wattmeters” and never got anything but short (less than 5 seconds) spikes to 1300 and warm up and brew between 1100 and 1200. YMMV

**Q: Can i use the machine without the water filter? I live in South america and I worry that from time to time i won't be able to get the filters.**
A: Deactivating the AquaClean filter
If you do not want to use Philips AquaClean water filter anymore you can always deactivate the AquaClean reminder. Follow the steps below:

1. Press the ON/OFF button to switch off the machine.
2. Press and hold the AquaClean icon until the light in this icon switches on.     The start/stop light starts to blink
3. Tap the AquaClean icon again to deactivate the reminders. The light in the AquaClean icon will go off.
4. Press the start/stop button to confirm your choice.
5. Press the on/off icon to switch on the machine again. The AquaClean reminders will be off now.

Note: The activation of a new AquaClean filter will automatically re-activate the AquaClean reminders.

A: Yes it can! It can do espresso, coffee, and cappuccinos.
