I wanted something small, lightweight, water resistant, multipurpose, and theft resistant. This fit the bill perfectly. It's a nylon material, like the description says, but it doesn't look cheap; it also doesn't look like a school backpack, which was a worry of mine. It looks like the purse backpacks that are the new fad.But the real beauty of this thing is the functionality. The inside compartment is deceptively large. I could fit everything I needed for hikes, shopping, and travel in a cold climate. There's a somewhat hidden zipper compartment on on the front, which is perfect for the phone and wallet. And there are even side compartments for a water bottle (small one!) and umbrella.It held up extremely well and didn't hurt my shoulders at all after long days of walking. And it was also perfect for the plane! However, after receiving it and seeing/feeling the quality of it, I've decided to use this my work bag as well! I bought this in size small and in the color black. As pictured, the opening of the backpack is found on the back side rather than the front, which that'll keep your belongings secured when traveling. Inside the backpack, there are three open pockets, and one zipped pocket found on the opening flap. There are also additional zipped pockets found on the left and right exterior of the backpack, meaning more storage space! This backpack can be carried as usual or also as a handbag with the (removable) single strap above. Along with this purchase, I also received a slightly-below-decent passport holder and a green tea scent bag. I'm not sure if I'll be using either of those, but they were definitely a nice touch. As for odor, I have no complaints since I received it having little to no scent! Overall, I'm enjoying this bag and I look forward to using it daily, as well as for traveling purposes! If you're debating on whether to purchase this or not, I'd say go for it.
