I’M PLEASED TO SAY THAT ON THE VERY FIRST DAY I LOOKED OUT OF THE WINDOW TO SEE 3 LITTLE BIRDS JOYFULLY SPLASHING AROUND IN THEM. MY PLAN HAD WORKED. THE GREY SLATE COLOUR ALSO FITTED IN WITH THEIR SURROUNDINGS. THAT BEING THE GREY ROCKS I HAD USED TO MAKE THE WATER FEATURE, ROCKS THAT I HAD SCAVENGED FROM A LOCAL BEACH & A 52CM DIAMETER PLANTER THAT I PURCHASED FROM AMAZON TO MAKE A LARGER POOL (YOU BUILD IT & THEY WILL COME). THEY ARE QUITE THICK PLASTIC & THEREFORE STRONG & STURDY. I HAVE NO DOUBT THAT THEY ARE STRONG ENOUGH TO STAND PLANT POTS IN THEM BUT THEY ARE EQUALLY STRONG BIRDBATHS & THE BIRDS LOVE THEM. WHATEVER YOU CHOOSE TO USE THEM FOR, I CAN HEARTILY RECOMMEND THEM. I bought this for a larger pot so it's being returned unfortunately.
