The Spear & Jackson Razorsharp Heavy Duty Telescopic Ratchet Anvil Lopper is ideal for cutting thicker and harder branches and easily handles a branch 50mm in diameter. ## Questions & Answers

**Q: What are the lengths of these loppers at their unextended and fully extended lengths?  I'm surprised this info. is not given.**
A: The arm unextended is 18" long. Extended the arm is 31 and 1/2" inches The distance from the near end of the handle to the centrer of the cutting edge is 6 and 1/2 inchesLooking at the previous answers, They must have a different tool from mine or I can't read a tape meaure.The arms on my tool are aluminum. I tried to cut a 1 and 1/2 ince piece of cherry with it that ws extremely hard.The arms were extended and were bent in the process. I used a lot of force snd probably should have realized thatIt was not going to cut it. I have used it on the same size green wood and it did fine.

**Q: It does not say how thick a branch can it cut?**
A: The jaws open approximately 2", so theoretically a 2' branch can be cut. However, this measurement is at the absolute end of the 'vee' opening. In practice the limb will be placed somewhat closer to the closed end of the 'vee'. Therefore the cut itself will be somewhat less than 2'. I haven't measured branches that I have actually cut, but I estimate that some were 1 1'2' or more in diameter. If you can find purchase on the limb, these loppers will cut it. They are great!

**Q: where is this product manufactured?**
A: It should be in the paperwork included when you received the looper.

**Q: On smaller branches, say 1", how many cranks (not sure the correct term) does it take for both jaws to come in contatct with the branch? I am wonderin**
A: For each cut, it takes 6-8 open/closes of handles to engage the cutting edge on the branch. .  THe bigger the branch the fewer motions it takes.
