**Q: Are they true 2x2?**
A: No, they are not. The first set I received was up to half an inch smaller, they were cut crooked and they were not square. Squaring them would've made them even more out of spec.

**Q: are these untreated wood?**
A: Untreated.

**Q: Is the length 8 feet or 8 inches?**
A: 8 inches. 4 pieces came in the box. This is a product for hobby crafts. Overall lovely smooth pieces of wood.

Quality wood, true 2x2 dimensions. (Not like big box hardware stores where 2 inches is 1.75)The sanding on the outside is more rough in some spots than others. This is not a problem for wood turning as it will all get shaved off. If you wanted to use these for a function other than wood turning, you will need to plane or sand the surfaces. Again, this is not a problem for wood turning which is the advertised purpose.Have ordered the Mahogany and the Walnut so far for projects and are as described.
