I think that this has kept the bark hard, which I don't care for, he was using foil and changed to this because he was told Smoking in this paper is better all but the bark for me. **Q: My paper came in this morning. Why is it 17.75 inches and not 18, which is what I ordered?**
A: Mine is a bit short of 18 also but works for me.  There is a 17.5 option on the order page.

A: After 1 double wrapped brisket the OD is 3- 3/8". The interior diameter is 1 " tight for a hanging rod.
 Hope this answer helps. Did not measure before 1st use but 3 1/2" on a fresh roll would be a generous measurement.
 This paper works well, just make sure you mist it to make it more pliable for the wrap.
This paper is a great deal as it has absolutely no advertisement printed on it and works just as well as any other brand at twice the price.

My husband asked me to purchase this for him, we live so rural that it's hard to find what you're looking for.
