I am a retired lawyer and staked my reputation on the content and appearance of the documents I produced for 30+ years. I get twitchy if I don't use the brightest, thickest, most elegant paper I can find for about everything. However, I find that at home, this 18 lb. paper is a better choice than the standard 20-26 lb. stuff for digital clothing patterns or temporary copies of recipes or email. A pattern on 18 lb. paper is easier to cut, piece, fold, and store. The package says it contains 500 sheets of brightness-92 paper. I can see the difference between this and 96- or 98-brightness paper, but this paper is "white" and the print quality is crisp and sharp. I had no mechanical problems with printing. **Q: Does this have Color Lok Technology?** A: this is a very light weight paper, when printing in color it comes out good but its really for every day printing not powerpoint presentations.. I print on this because its light weight and moves through my printer very fast and easily, never gets stuck and its eco-friendly! **Q: Has anybody found 16lb paper on Amazon?** A: Nope. Look under "typewriter paper" and there you will find 16# 8 1/2 x 11 paper, but it is very expensive! (Not worth it) The 18# paper proffered by HP Printer Papers) is not worth it either...go with 20#. A rather good alternative is the 30# newsprint 8 1/2 x 11 sold by Pacon (#3401). (Available at Dick Blick's by the ream) It is very light weight, but still not as inexpensive as the 20# paper. **Q: 18lb printer paper where to I buy?** A: This 18lb printer paper by HP is not available at Amazon.
