Have been using it for a while now and wanted to wait before writing a review. Now that I have had some time to experience with it I feel that the AF is not as good as some reviewers on YouTube say it is. At least for video. It hunts a lot! I shoot with Sony a7iii and in video mode it will go in and out focus at times when the focus point has already been set. I don’t feel completely at ease when shooting video for a client because I’m never sure when this lens will go out of focus. I asked a Sony rep about this and he said it may have something to do with the af motors in camera and the af in Lens not responding simultaneously and in conjunction with one another. BUT, when AF is working, the images are spot on and sharp! In photo mode, this lens is fantastic.
