This unit sounds like like someone is using a power mower in the yard when we are outside, not a problem inside the house and we chose a location that gives the maximum barrier to the sound for both ourselves and our neighbors. The distance from your existing electrical panel and gas meter will have a huge impact on the cost of installation so once you have selected the location be certain to speak with your electrician and plumber about the cost before you buy the generator.
