I usually borrow books from the library first to ensure I like their contents, as it's saved me from a few bad impulse purchases, but the reviews were so glowing on this that I felt like I had to give it a shot. Hint: it was worth it for me! This book is filled with concise but detailed information, including individual growing guides for individual types of vegetables. It covers nearly every aspect I looked for help on, from amending your own soil to raised bed planting to composting to indoor/container gardening. As a beginner that has been doing a ton of research, this has been my go-to by far. It also has some really useful logging pages to create a habit of recording your garden statistics and attempts. This helps me get started on a logbook that will have valuable insight when I look back at it for future seasons. Some of the information may be basic for experienced gardeners, but there are a few things I've seen here that aren't in any of the introductory books, so perhaps experienced folk can find something for themselves as well!
