Instructions were written by someone whose first language is not English so we had to figure out several things by ourselves. After locking the top down you must push the seal and vacuum button TWICE for the vacuum to start. Once that happens you MUST push down on the center of the unit or the vacuum will continue to pull forever with no sealing done. Since there is no indication of how long this should take in the instructions you wait. Once we figured that you must push the middle down it took only seconds to complete. Instructions to “toogle” the vacuum release also misleading, push down would have been the appropriate word. Glad I read reviews on several of these before buying or I would have thought that it was defective out of the box when really it was just poor instructions. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars A real Piece of crap *by N***A on Reviewed in the United States on May 1, 2020* The machine will seal, but the vacuum is non existent.
