It can spin for about 30 seconds or so would be my best guess. **Q: Is Vertical Outer ring welded properly or has gap which produces vibration and noise at high speed?** A: The vertical outer ring is not welded together, and it does make a loud noise at high speeds. However, the small gap makes it easier to fix if the spinning piece falls out. **Q: Does it come with the stand** A: Yes it does. It is black, not red. **Q: Does the gyroscope include the string ?** A: Yes, the string is included, but any strong, thin string would work. What is disappointing to me is the quality of the construction which is not at a par with similar gyroscopes manufactured in the past. The gyroscope I received works, but barely, and has an unstable vibration that greatly diminishes the spinning time and strength of the gyroscopic effect. The toy was delivered on time. This is a great toy to have and it's fun to watch and learn the Physics behind it. I actually bought this for myself, an adult man but even my little daughter loved it. The only problem is the quality of string/cord and it broke in 2 parts in just 2 days. I have to order new one or look for something like that in Home Depot. But definitely it's a great toy. I noticed that some reviewers have complained about poor quality of the Gyroscope. I am assuming that in good old days it was probably of better quality.
