I painted the entire reindeer with that brush...it worked great for line work as well as the base colors. Also, I want to mention that the individual pans do not come lose when you are working with the paint...that can be very frustrating if you have ever experienced that problem...I was so happy that these stayed right where they are supposed to! The Best thing for me about this palette is that it is gluten free as I am gluten intolerant and have to watch everything that goes on my skin.
