It'll pump full volume, but the lift will change the outlet pressure at a loss of 0.5psi per foot of lift, although you'll gain most of that back through the downhill run on the intake side (gravity works on both hoses, creating head pressure). The instructions state that the distance from the bottom of the filter to the top of the tank cannot exceed 60 inches.
