The other injuries I've noticed in the reviews are horrific-looking burns from the blacklight causing a flash of heat on the nail bed. This also looks excruciating and I feel so bad that so many folks have had this experience. My (successful) attempt to avoid all of these issues, is to 1. Hold my hand/finger further back from my blacklight. Any time I felt it get warm, I immediately pulled my hand away and waited a few seconds before putting it back into the lamp. 2. I also made a point to cure each layer of polish longer than the recommended times. These two things successfully eliminated any bad reactions my sensitive skin may have experienced. I am not a doctor, and I know that doing these things may not help every person avoid these complications, but they did work for me, and they most likely would work for you too.
