A: It is a black rubber ring running around the base.

**Q: Does this holder have a cup inside to catch dripping water?**
A: Yes. It's just a little plastic cup on the inside.

**Q: Does the brush stay out of any water that accumulates in the holder?**
A: There is a plastic cup in the holder that I like that keeps the water separate from the metal. Brush stays out a little but you can empty it easily..

**Q: Bought a couple, but can't find replacement brushes for it, surely there are say $2.99 at most??**
A: Just buy a cheap toilet brush/ holder at walmart and use the brush for your replacement.

This is perfect for our powder room and guest bathroom. Unobtrusive with a clean design. Some of the reviewers complained it was not heavier weight but that is truly not an issue as it does not take away from its functionality or clean contemporary look. The price would be far more if heavier metal was used and that just isn’t necessary. I have only had mine two weeks so don’t know how it will hold up over time but, at this price point, it is worth the gamble.

I have seen some reviews here complaining about this item being to short to clean the stool with. I have used it on a couple different stools in my home and have had no issues with it's handle length. It cleans fine. No issues with the handle coming unscrewed either. It looks very nice and even had compliments on it. The price can't be beat for a metal toilet brush.
