I originally ordered a size 42 of this belt and it was more like a 46. My advice is order the size belt for the size pants you wear exactly because when I ordered a 38 it was perfect.This is a very well made belt. I decided to go with the d-ring option, because as weird as it may sound, it's easy to hook a carabiner to and keep your dog(s) tied to you while walking them. Especially if you have sled dogs that want to pull anyway. That's just one of the uses I tested out. But probably used the most for this purpose.I also wanted this particular belt because of its durability and ease-of-use. And it did not fail in this department either. It is extremely easy to take off the end (buckle) and feed it through your belt loops and then reattach the end and klik it together.Another great thing about this belt is that the buckle is made of aluminum. I have a few other rigger type belts and they are made of steel, which means it's going to rust quickly - which a few of mine already have started to do.I have also tested to see if I could support myself on a rappelling rope from a tree as a "last resort" for a safety device, and this belt was perfect. I also used it as a backup on my deer stand, and it was great because the d-ring is open enough to fit a carabiner through just fine. Obviously this is not designed as a safety device, and you should use an actual body harness designed for these purposes.I have worn this belt to work for several days and it maintains it's place as far as the size, even after walking several miles.Overall I would have to say that this is my favorite, and best performing, tacti-cool belt: and I don't see how it could possibly be topped. There are a couple of YouTube videos reviewing the strength of the webbing of this belt and you should check them out. ### ⭐⭐ fast and easy to manipulate *by U***T on Reviewed in the United States on May 30, 2018* I purchased this belt in February of 2017 and have worn it daily since then. I’m 5’9” and weigh 160. Most of the time I wear the belt without adding equipment, but I spend 2 or 3 days a week hiking through mountainous terrain wearing a holstered, full-size pistol, a spare magazine pouch, a sheath knife, and a phone carrier, all attached directly to the belt.The quality of materials in this belt is superb and it is very strong. The buckle is very unique, strong, fast and easy to manipulate. Overall, this belt is exactly as advertised—except for one thing: it routinely loosens as you wear it. The loosening is particularly problematic when equipment items are attached to the belt because, as the belt loosens, things start to sag and move around. Even when not wearing equipment items on the belt, it loosens. Ordinary movement, but particularly a lot of standing-to-sitting-to-standing will make the belt loosen, at which point the buckle starts to sag. After over a year wearing this belt daily, the loosening and sagging has become very annoying. The reason the belt loosens has to do with the design of the buckle where the free end of the belt is routinely threaded and unthreaded. The steel runner around which the free end is looped is very smooth—too smooth (see photos). This is what allows the belt to loosen as it’s worn. Not polishing the edges of this steel runner would likely eliminate the problem.Another minor irritant with this belt has to do with the two-layer design, which is a very good idea a bit poorly executed. The outer belt is sewn to a significantly shorter inner belt of heavier nylon. Nothing wrong there, but the end of the inner belt opposite of the buckle is cut square and left that way. The corners of this much heavier nylon become projections (see photo) that make threading the belt through trouser loops difficult at times. This design defect could be eliminated by simply cutting the corners off the end of the inner belt before sewing inner and outer belts together. A bit of heat judiciously applied to the cut corners (as they did with the free end of the outer belt) could melt the nylon sufficiently to make it “smooth”. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ World's Greatest Tactical Belt *by L***L on Reviewed in the United States on November 20, 2016* I'm not sure where to start. This belt is far more than I've ever seen anywhere else, including other brand names and more expensive ones. The belt itself is tremendous, easy to wear, easy to release, comfortable, never slips and is the perfect tightness every time. It's insanely strong; I feel like I could attach it to a bulldozer and tow a tank with it. The D-Ring is an added bonus in this model. Don't worry about it carrying your weight, because it can easily hold me plus 100 others without a sweat. The D-Ring folds nicely to the side when I'm not using it, and there's just enough tension in the swivel that it won't flop around throughout my day. The belt is double-ply which is very nice when carrying around my concealed handgun. I've hung tools on it, knives, and other things and it's still solid without being uncomfortable.Everyday I have a choice of what to wear and carry on me ... my wallet, phone, keys, knife, CC, and belt.
