On September 25th 2014, shortly after the release of their "World On Fire" album, Slash with Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators took the stage at the legendary Roxy Theatre on Sunset Strip in West Hollywood. The atmospheric venue, steeped in rock history, gave fans a brilliant opportunity to see the band up close as they delivered a set packed with more recent solo tracks, including several from the new album, and classics from Slash's earlier career with Guns `n' Roses and Velvet Revolver.

    Not the best representation of Slash, Myles, and the gang.

First off, I am a lifelong GNR fan and lover of all things Slash.  I also thoroughly enjoy this band.  However, this performance does not capture Slash, Myles, and company at their best.  As a group, the songs feel very rushed and aren't as tight as some other live performances captured.  Yes, the band sounds cohesive, but the tempo of the concert is as if they're trying to blaze through the show.  The buzz kill of the album is the fidelity.  The guitars sound like they're being played through shoebox amplifiers with tiny speakers.  The sound is incredibly thin.  This might be due to the small venue size.  Overall, I was hoping this album would sound like the performances given at the O2 Academy or at PinkPop, but am very disappointed.

If you’re a fan of Slash or Myles Kennedy, this is yet another great addition to your album collection. I give it a four only because the band seemed a little off that night and some of their set pieces suffer for it: played entirely off beat or tempo, Myles butchering a couple of lines, etc., but does  not represent the greatness that is this group or as a live band.

Great band.Slash has put together one of the best bands ever.Myles has got to be the bedt vocalist and Todd Kearns is a great musician not to mention he has a great voice and also harmonizes great with Myles.Brent Fitz is a great drummer just go see him live. Frank Sidoris does a grest job on the rythm guitar and when he and Slash do double leads they sound grest.As far as Slash goes not only is he a fantastic guitar player but he writes great songs.Check out the songs he had written since Appetite.I think if Slash and Myles met up in the 80's they would be in one of the biggest bands ever..
