Years ago I tried other brands when on sale like Memorex, HP and Sony and always ended up with many coasters. I also have done my research and on the top of every list of the most reliable recordable discs there is Verbatim. It is stressed that it must be the Verbatim discs manufactured in Japan and that is indeed what you get here. With this recent 50 dvd disc spindle I have already used half of the discs and have not had a single error disc. And this has always been my experience with Verbatim. It's great that Amazon has them here at such a great price but even if they were more expensive Verbatim is the only brand I will now use. I honestly believe if people are having continuous problems with these discs that it is likely the problem is with the software you are using to burn your discs rather than with Verbatim. This high recommendation I am giving is not only due to my experience with this recent 50 disc spindle but looking at my history with Verbatim over the years. Always reliable and never a problem. Also everything they promise in their detailed item description is true. These discs burn at a very high speed and get done quickly which definitely helps make volume disc burning go by much faster. And the quality of the video on the discs is always excellent. When making a copy of a disc I can hardly tell it is a copy. The transfer looks almost exctly like the original and not a second generation copy.
