My husband works 12hr shifts into the nights on an open dock where it gets really cold and with that Texas cold front coming in i decided to buy him a good jacket to help keep him warm as sometimes he works into the early morning hours. He hasn't tested it in the cold just yet but he does layer up with thermals, skincare mask or scarf and gloves that I've bought him. As the cold iut here can get sharp sometimes. It is very great quality, the out part most definitely feels wind and water resistant, the inner part has a lot of pockets and a mesh lined pocket and the upper chest and hood are lined with faux fur/fleece like material. The sizing was True to size. So far we reccomend it. Will update review if anything changes or if anything otherwise from this review.Update: Husband has been using this all week and he says the although he does wear like 3 layers of clothes (tank, thermals and a tshirt) he no longer needs to layer on 2 sweaters in 30 degree HoustoN weather. He says all he throw on top is this jacket and it keeps him very warm. So warm sometimes he gets kind of hot (and he does normally run hot but when temps drop he does get cold) but with this Jacket he said he can now work comfortably and doesn't even zip it up as he tend to get a little hot in it.
