We can have upwards of 220 students on a Sunday morning so the air hockey table and the mallets get a lot of use. Also, the air hockey strategy preferred by many middle schooler students is to hit the puck as hard as possible with the mallet so the mallets get quite a workout on Sundays. We have had these mallets for over a year now, and they show no sign of wearing out. These mallets replaced the mallets that originally came with the table. The original mallets were made of two pieces of plastic, and broke in half very quickly. These mallets are molded as a single, solid unit. The plastic is hard and durable. If you are buying mallets for an air hockey table that sees a lot of use, these are a very good choice.

These are a serious upgrade to the strikers that came with the table. Solid piece of injected molded plastic as opposed to the two piece glued together versions. These do not have felt on the bottom, but those are available on Amazon as well.
