I've gotten numerous compliments already.The pom pom came in a protective plastic bag and the ball on top is detachable it has a snap for easy on and off for washing. So you really can’t wear it without the ball on top. Tips:When you snap the button, please check whether there is any fur under the button.If there is fur in the button, the pompom will be easy to detached.I lost the pom-pom in my first day of use as it is not attached by snaps, the seller was really nice and sent my a replacement. I would recommend to sew the pom-pom to avoid it to fall of as it happened to me. And I blew out the pompon with my blow dryer as directed and was very satisfied with the end product.Later year,I purchased same hat from other brands.
