The actual result are the exact opposite of that. Unlike some of the other tools that cut the lid off of the top, this one cuts through the thick binder of the lid and can base. It leaves a smooth surface.It's almost hard to tell when your done, but when the can stops spinning cleanly, you are done. After the 3rd or 4th can, you'll know.This is phenomenal. Skips, doesn't grasp the can, and is just generally frustrating. Difficult to find the company who makes this online. I have yet to be able to find their website in order to find out if they would replace it or offer a solution.I had purchased this hoping that the extra cost would pay off with a great and safe can opening process AND it would last for more years than the standard can opener.If Westmark Sieger sees this message and wants to make it right I'd love to hear from you. Need a new can opener.
