The Flowmaster 40 series muffler (430402) contains one large V on the inside, for excellent performance. This muffler will give you that classic Flowmaster sound, with aggressive exterior and interior tone. Our Dual Exhaust kits contain premium 2.5" pipes, with superior-quality mandrel bends that will improve the exhaust flow and may give you the boost in power and fuel economy normally found in much more expensive systems. Our pipes are aluminized to increase lifespan and durability, and are exclusively custom-bent for us in Springfield, MO. These pipes exit under the rear of the truck, parallel with the outside edge of the frame rail. They are designed to clear the OEM-installed receiver hitch and OEM-sized spare tire. The tailpipes are cut into two pieces for shipping, and swedged for easy slip-together assembly. Our system is designed to fit all wheel-base applications, simply trim the tailpipes to fit. The Flowmaster Original 40 is 2 steps down from open headers, and it shows. I know my video is a little muffled, but man is it a throaty exhaust. All I've got done is a cold air intake. Idk if that helps the sound at all. My truck is so responsive now. It's also not overly loud. Sure, if I slam on the gas it's pretty loud, but I'm not that guy.
