YIKES! I could not get it out of reverse, so I backed it home (fortunately I was not far). I thought it was the transmission. When I got a price from dealer, he quoted up to $3000 (without actually seeing it - I just asked for worse case scenario). I did some googling and found there was a plastic piece that linked the gear shifter to the gears. I pulled the covers off and sure enough the plastic piece was broken. I found this metal one on amazing and was able to replace it and it is PERFECT! For under $20 I was able to get her running again! If you own a CAN AM and it is hard to shift, I recommend just replace your plastic piece with this metal one. Cheapest repair yet! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Upgrade *by D***N on March 1, 2025* Great Upgrade. Installed on a 2024 can-am outlander 1000r Xxc (with 12hours on it) When I removed the factory plastic one, there was already a small crack forming on it. Glad I replaced it with this.
