**Q: can this be left on 8hrs a day for in store use**
A: Hi Sandra!  The Brilliant Spa Black Diamond is primarily designed for home use, but it is powerful enough for professional use and fine for small retail stores as thousands are in use daily within the jewelry industry.  Since the steamer can heat up in only a matter of a few minutes, I'd suggest you keep it turned on during your peak hours and otherwise keep it turned off until needed. **Q: Can this item be used for morganite jewelry?**
A: Hi there!  I am from GemOro and would like to help.  Cleaning Morganite with a steam cleaner is usually safe according to the Gemological Institute of America or GIA.  The beauty of using a steamer is that you can control the heat exposure to the stone by how closely you place the Morganite jewelry to the steam nozzle.  If the stone has a lot of visible inclusions, there is a slight risk of fracture if exposed to too much heat, but this is really unlikely.  If the stone is heavily included, just back the rink a couple of inches or more from the steam nozzle where it is cooler and it should be fine.  Morganite has a hardness on the Mohs hardness scale of a 7.5-8, whereas diamond is a 10.  Morganite is a pretty hard and durable stone.  As for the color fading, I would tend to disagree that there might be an issue with this if steamed under normal conditions,  It would take prolonged exposure of high heat for this to occur.  You are smart to ask, since not all gemstones may be cleaned with steam.  But you're fine generally speaking cleaning Morganite with our steamer.  I hope this helps. A: Sorry for the confusion Robbi!  The original BrilliantSpa is white.  This model has a 12.5oz tank and a 35psi of steam pressure and sells for $99.  The BrilliantSpa Black Diamond is available in either black or slate gray.  This model has a 16oz tank and a robust 50psi of steam pressure and sells for $119. **Q: would this be good for a diamond ring with white gold (rhodium plated) band?**
A: Yes. I have several white gold (rhodium plated) diamond rings and they clean up beautifully with this steamer.
