I like to have it when I'm doing a lot of typing work on my laptop because I really like a mechanical keyboard feel, especially brown, blue, or green/Razer switches. This was the first brown switch keyboard I've tried. The switches are quiet, but the keys themselves do have a noticeable sound, but it's a pleasant rumble when you're typing quickly. I definitely am a fan of at least a physical actuation bump if not physical and audible.
