It is like a mini-room for my 60 pd. puppy. The lock is secure yet simple to operate. Well ventilated with windows on all sides and tall enough for my dog to stand comfortably. I would not hesitate to recommend it. (Have not used it for airline travel-only as a home kennel) Update: My dog is now 88 pounds (german shepherd/border collie) and extremely muscular. He has not defeated the latch system. Plenty of room for him to stand and move within the crate. Fourteen months old and Kennel looks and functions just as it did on day one.
