Sharp knives are safer too because they do what you expect. These are great knives. Very sharp. Can cut a tomato without squishing. I eat a lot of salads and vegetable soups and these are perfect for cutting all veggies. Cheap enough so that when they get dull after a year or two of daily use, you can just replace them. I find this so much better than my high-end German steel knives that are a real pain to properly sharpen.
