Review: Pleasingly solid and clearly printed 30cm desk globe - warning! The box packaging does clearly state what is inside so be careful if it is for a gift. After a lot of research and with some reservations given some other reviews I decided to try this as I really didn't want a plastic base or meridian or to have to assemble it either and this fitted the bill best. Thankfully the one I received seems well constructed. The top and bottom halves have been accurately joined and the equator strip is neatly applied and doesn't appear too bulky. The globe is sprung on its spindle and spins easily and the metal meridian and stand seem to have enough weight to make this a stable and solid feeling globe. The text is as legible as you can expect from a globe of this size and I haven't found any obvious misspellings. The 'English Channel' is definitely spelt correctly. I think generally the labelling is UK standard and the Falkland Islands are labelled as this (not the Malvinas). There are no white or unfinished patches as some other reviews of the Exerz brand not any sticky labels marking the base. On a personal note I am very glad to have opted for the 30cm model and the antique colourway is certainly attractive for an adult room and desk. I am not so sure for a child's version and a blue sea option would have been nice anyway.

**Q: What is the stand made from? Is it very light as I want something with a metal stand.**
A: I'm not sure what it's made of it looks like copper and is light and sturdy the only fault with it is it calls the Falkland Islands the Malvinas claimed by UK.

A: The map is updated. But due to the size, not all cities and countries are able to be printed

A: Yes all countries are on it. Also major cities and capitals. I've found if useful. The only downside is that the print is really tiny and difficult to read without a magnifying glass.

High quality for the relatively affordable price, well made and look great on my desk. The all directional design makes it great for examining places close to the Antarctica. Unfortunately it follows China’s interpretation of the world so it is unfit for educational purposes unless you live in China and subscribe to CCP’s propaganda.
