I like that it's lightweight and doesn't have that bulky/clumsy feel and there's no hindrances on 3 sides of this stamping platform so you have more options for paper placement. The lightweight acrylic makes it easier to press the stamping image on to the paper. Also the grid lines are more visible for easier alignment. It works great with the clear rubber stamps but for the thicker rubber stamps I would use my Tim Holtz or stamping blocks. This stamping tool does a good job keeping the stamps in place if you need to re-stamp. I'm really happy with the quality, the ease of use and pricing of this stamping platform. AND - I just realized instead of using magnets, I cut two small pieces of the magnetic sheet and used them to hold the paper in place. IT WORKS and isn't as thick as the magnets!
