## Description

Corsair Hydro x Series XF ball valve makes it easy to drain your custom cooling system, with a two-stage sealing Valve that completely shuts off flow when closed. Machined from solid brass and available in durable black or chrome finishes, universally compatible G1/4” Threads make it easy to add your choice of fittings.

Review: Quality fitting that works well. - Corsair fittings are made by the same people who make Bitspower fittings, so are well made. If you exercise the tap you will notice a click/jolt as it locks into the fully closed position. This is why you have to hold the valve with one hand and crack it open with the other when it is fitted in a rig to stop it putting pressure on the other fittings. It comes with female threads on both ends, so a male to male adaptor is usually required to connect it to a 'T' fitting or radiator drain port. A port blanking fitting is also required to seal the open end of the valve incase it does ever decide to leak.

**Q: How to Install it, do I need a compression fitting for it?**
A: Hi,

Most commonly it's installed using a male-male G1/4" BSPP fitting adapter. A pair of compression fittings compatible with your tubing will also work to add the ball valve to the loop.

Perfect fit and great quality. I read some said theirs was leaking a little, I did notice the valve has a notch it seals on when closing. This can need a firm turn to engage it. But mine was totally water tight when shut.
