I want to use it as a ph balance** A: Vinegar is acetic acid. You won't be able to convert citric acid to vinegar, but you can use it as a substitute for vinegar. It's intended to be added to foods to make them more acidic and is used primarily in canning. I saw a video on YouTube to turn off the water to the toilet, empty the tank fully, pour 1 cup of Citric Acid into the tank and fill with HOT tap water from a bucket. Stir and let sit for 30 minutes. The results are incredible. Works better than bleach, Vinegar, Hydrogen Peroxide and it won't deteriorate the rubber seals. I did this in Oct '25 and my tank has stayed clean through April '26 and I hardly ever have to scrub the toilet anymore.
