"Original" is as opposed to "Vanilla." The formula has been changed since I last purchased it some time ago, and to my taste, it is both too sweet and has an unpleasant chemical flavor that it formerly did not have. **Q: Is this soymilk low fodmap (made from soy protein isolate, not simply soybeans)?** A: It's made from tofu or soy solids. **Q: Why is this $100?** A: because it's a whole lot of product. i thnk available in smaller quantities too. **Q: Can unopened pouches be frozen for longer storage? I need it for baking and cannot use it all within the 5 months it's advertised to stay fresh for.** A: Sorry, I haven’t tried freezing. I don’t know where the 5 month freshness date came from. My bags say it was produced on 3/9/22 and is best before 9/9/2023. That’s 18 months. I will say that it is really good for soups, mashed potatoes and gravy. The powder had spilled in the box. I tried to report it and request ine replacement package, but the complaint was rejected. I paid for 6 packages, but only 5 are useable.
