Previously, I had purchased a scoop from a different company that had the more traditional handle with a thumb lever. I could not use it at all; it was too large for me to reach the lever. I have MS and arthritis in my hands and my grip is not very strong. I definitely prefer this style of scoop with the squeeze handle, which is easy to operate with either hand.
