## Description

NT circle cutter with rotary blade makes a great fabric cutting tool. Rotary blade cuts without twisting fabric. Unique fabric circle cutter leaves no center pin mark. Ideal for crafts and projects that involves cutting felt, denim, lace, soft film, etc. Circle can range from 1-3/16" ~ 8-11/16" diameter. Hold the center point firmly down and slowly turn end in the direction of the cutting edge. Do not try to cut with just one turn. By turning the cutter several times over the surface, you will have better results. This circle cutter includes 1 pre-installed durable rotary blade, BR1801P and has a built in storage compartment to hold spare blades. Special rotary blade is made of premium quality chromium and tungsten added to carbon tool steel and produced through multiple stages of precise process to obtain the ultimate sharpness and optimum edge-retention. Good for quilt making, applique, walnut button, scrapbooking, etc. Made in Japan.

Review: Better than OLFA by a mile - First off, the minimum circle diameter you can cut with this tool is ACTUALLY just a hair under 6". I see that as a huge boost in value when comparing tools. The build is good -- could be better for $80, but you won't find better elsewhere. It's nothing to worry over, it can do its job perfectly, just don't beat it up. Treat it like a measuring caliper: take it out, use it, put it away without dropping it. The 45mm (part number: BR45P) rotary blade is wicked, although hard to get here in the U.S. Still, they *are* get-able via ebay at least, and fairly reasonable regarding price: $4-5 per blade + shipping from Japan. With this blade I cut easily through 3 sheets of cotton fabric at a time -- I imagine it could cut through more, but then I'd be concerned about the alignment of my sheet materials atop one another. I reached out to the NT Cutter for info regarding authorized retailers in the U.S. and am awaiting a reply -- will update when I get it. Using this tool is a piece of cake. Without any tools required, you set it to cut the desired radius, set the grippy, but not tacky rubber foot down in the middle of your desired circle, and apply moderate hand pressure to each grip with an open palm. The amount of force required will vary depending on what material you're cutting, but expect to apply roughly the same amount of force as you would to a stack of papers, located on a table outside, wherein you don't want the papers to blow away in the wind. I experienced no play in the tool when attempting to repeat cuts on new sheets of fabric, so worry not. Where you would find some difficulty is: If you had an exact center point in your fabric upon which you wanted to center your circle cutter on -- the foot piece is large and circular. It is not a needle point. So it cannot be placed with ease in an exact position. That's a design choice and not a flaw, and as such I have no issue there. Finally, regarding the scale, I didn't even look at it. I used the alignment marks on our self-healing mat to measure the distance between the middle of the foot to the cutting wheel, then locked the tool into that setting. Having measure marks on the tool strikes me as a wholly unnecessary addition. Note: When in use, this tool swings about in a fairly large arc (since the beam is a large, fixed length). You will need a clear table area to facilitate its use. 24" square of uncluttered tabletop would be my suggestion. Pro Tip: Clamp your fabric to the table to ensure consistent cuts. A set of 4 springy hand clamps was all that I needed in order to achieve professional results.
Review: Quality circle cutter but slight wobble for my application - It takes some practice, a bit wobbly if you need a perfect precise cut. But quality build and very sharp blades.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quality circle cutter but slight wobble for my application

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just What I Needed!
*by J***M on June 2, 2020*

Making face masks from a circular pattern. Had to fold material into quadrants and cut out with pie plate and rotary cutter. This device eliminates all that fuss. Every cut is precise and repeatable. Just make sure you have enough room on your cutting mat. First try sent notions flying. One of the best investments I've ever made for the sewing room.
