However, I do not put mine in the fridge and have had no problems. I once put a jar in the fridge and it became very stiff and I did not care for it. Once refrigerated, to bring it back to spreadable consistency, you would need to allow it to warm up to room temp, which could take a while. Sing that, if you will, as if it were the opening of the Theme from Love Story. And then lapse into reverie about your true love, Soom Chocolate Tahini. Go ahead. I'll wait.I bought the "Sampler Pack" directly through the Soom website at the beginning of February and then ordered a two-pack of the chocolate tahini about five weeks later. All of the products are off the charts fantastic. The regular tahini is the perfect consistency, pourable, which makes it perfect for drizzling on sweet potatoes, salads, or onto your finger for a little thrill. The silan is so flavorful and a small dab takes care of a "sweet tooth" craving, because otherwise I'd be pouring it directly in my mouth the way I used to do with the short can of Hershey's syrup back in the early '70s at my Bubby and Poppop's house.But oh, the chocolate tahini, the item this review is "officially" for ... oh. I mean oh. I mean OH. As the kids say, "I can't even." If you think Nutella is the most amazing chocolate spread you've ever had, you won't know what to do when you taste the chocolate tahini. You will probably close your eyes, and say, 'Are you KIDDING me?" and you will take the measuring teaspoon that you doled out a small bit with as a taste (because, you know, you're trying to be "good" here), and you will dip it into the jar again and bring that little spoon to your mouth again. And you will have the same reaction. And you will do that again, thus making it three teaspoons, which is officially a tablespoon.And then the next thing you know, you will have gone through two jars in less than a month and admonishing yourself for doing so and telling yourself you have to wait a few weeks before buying more. I usually can't stand when people say food is "addictive", but in this case I'll not only make an exception but say so myself.
