Number 2: I tested the unit. The sound is really amazing for the J-288. I had to turn down the volume in my office. It's the best feature besides multi-input and manually entering radio station instead of seeking. This unit didn't work for me because I bought it for the FM radio and antenna. The FM tuner works pretty well EXCEPT for my station which required full extension on the antenna. Without full extension the station was mostly static. Similar to other reviews the unit will not stand up firmly when the antenna is fully extended. The second issue was preset stations. This unit DOES NOT ALLOW manually setting stations. The only way to preset is to scan for all available channels.
