Review: great purchase - Really great carrier. It's large enough for my long bodied Cavapoo. I did not think that a cavapoo would have such a long body, but I guess the spaniel in him is a little long. He is a medium sized dog, but this carrier was a little larger than postings said I needed. The good thing is that he can stretch out. It's not very heavy. Easy to put together, tall enough and very good for my dog. We take it on trips all the time so that he can have a quiet, safe place to lay down.

A: Definitely need to check with your airline about whether they will carry the larger sized crates.  Tall skinny dogs will often require very large crates (our 50-pound standard poodle is 30+ inches tall and therefore requires an XXL crate!), but most airlines will only accommodate such large crates on wide body aircraft.  Given that most US air travel today is by narrow body planes pursuant to hub & spoke networks, transporting large (or even just tall) dogs by air can be tricky!

**Q: is it bolted**
A: 3/16th inch 10-24. That will get you to the hardware store to buy bolts and nuts. These are carriage bolts by the way.

It is like a mini-room for my 60 pd. puppy. The lock is secure yet simple to operate. Well ventilated with windows on all sides and tall enough for my dog to stand comfortably. I would not hesitate to recommend it. (Have not used it for airline travel-only as a home kennel) Update: My dog is now 88 pounds (german shepherd/border collie) and extremely muscular. He has not defeated the latch system. Plenty of room for him to stand and move within the crate. Fourteen months old and Kennel looks and functions just as it did on day one. I am purchasing a second one for my golden retriever puppy.

Overall good product, fair price. Easy to assemble, 5 minutes at most once you have all the pieces ready to assemble. No missing parts, actually got some spares bolt and nuts. Loved the door locking mechanism, the kennel is made of heavy duty plastic, ventilation in all sides so airflow certainly will go through. It comes with a food/water bowl attachable to the door. Also comes with some stickers where states live animal and you can put additional contact information. Handle seems to be sturdy, although initially thought was going to break, but after testing with my dog (Mini goldendoodle, about 17 lbs) didn’t noticed any tear or damage (I’ve ordered the 28-inch size, if it helps for reference). Also enough space, my dog could move around, stand up comfortably.
