It wasn't that bad at all and it's hard to notice the layers because my hair is a bit frizzy/poofy, however, if and when I do straighten my hair I'm sure it will look much better. Other than that it is a good product to invest because it will save me time and money to go to the salon to get it done. Also, I am quite picky when it comes to cutting my hair because it takes a while for hair to grow and it is easier to cut it off just like that. It's had to tell a stylist that you want a few inches off but it is hard to show them how you want it cut and when they cut your hair it's not what you thought you would expect it to be. Then you have to pay money for it. I'm just sharing from experience. I watched several youtube videos to learn how to use this product. I turn my head upside down, brush my hair down, clip the curved clip into my hair, and pull it down and away from myself until I reach the desired length, and then cut the hair at a 45 degree angle. Now that I have gotten good at doing it, I only spend 45 seconds every other month getting my hair cut.
