I’m not sure exactly but in one of the photos the box does say made in Sweden. **Q: How do I go about sharpening this after several uses?** A: Simple File at 45 degrees seems to keep mine working . **Q: People keep saying that it only works on short lengths of wood. It would be very helpful to know what "short" is? and long of a piece will *not* fit?** A: These will cut up to 14" pieces of wood. **Q: how long of a piece of wood will it handle?** A: It can only handle wood up to 14 inches, and even then, it couldn't split them well at all.
